Yamba Lighthouse on Pilot Hill Yamba is a popular location for wedding ceremonys. Administered by NSW Lands Department, bookings are made with Clarence Valley Council. There is a large mown grass area that can accomodate a large number of guests. There is very little afternoon shade except for the shadow of the lighthouse but there is usually a cooling ocean breeze.. There is plenty of parking nearby & Yamba Hotel is a stroll down the hill. Yamba has many accomodation options & two large clubs, Yamba Bowling Club and Yamba Golf Club these are possible reception venues. Nearby, Greenpoint & Angowrie Rainforest Resort are other popular choices for wedding ceremonies.
One of the first steps in planning your wedding is to select and book a celebrant. Celebrants will have websites and are usually at local wedding expos. My calendars indicate local expos as soon as I know the dates. Months do vary a little from year to year. Consider meeting a few celebants & choose one you are comfortable with. Most celebrants charge about the same, around $500, but what they provide does vary, my inclusions are listed in the marriage
section of this site . Choose a celebrant you are comfortable with, one who will listen to your wishes. It is your special day, the right celebrant is vital to a successful ceremony. To give each ceremony my utmost attention I only do one ceremony per day.
The interwoven continuous lines of the celtic love knot symbolise the eternity of love and the journey of two lovers through life together.
If you are seeking a marriage celebrant to perform a wedding ceremony in Grafton, Yamba, Maclean or elsewhere in the Clarence Valley my availability is indicated on the calendar below. This calendar is for November 2013, other months can be accessed from the menu above or with the navigation arrows below. If you are planning your wedding for a more popular month you may need to book your wedding celebrant some time in advance, perhaps more than a year. I only perform one wedding ceremony per day, sometimes I may be able to perform a morning naming ceremony on the same day as I have an afternoon wedding ceremony to perform. If my calendar indicates I am booked I may be able to recommend another marriage celebrant, please contact me.
November weather in the Clarence Valley is warm and can be hot sometimes very hot. Grafton's 50yr mean maximum temperature for November is a warm 28.1 (°C). Mean 3pm temperature, a popular wedding time is 26.7 (°C). November average 3pm humidity is 52.0%. Average rainfall for November here in Grafton is 104mm. Rain falls on about 9 of November's 30 days or about 1 day in 3. Winds are a little higher than other months with an average 3pm wind speed of 14.1 km/h.
If your wedding is outdoors allow for the heat. Use shade where you can and consider hats and dress cool. River breezes in Memorial Park can help & the fountain in See park seems to lower the temperature by a few degrees on a hot day.
Statistics favour a fine day but it could be wise to still allow for rain and have an alternative wet weather venue. Have ushers on stand-by to redirect guests to the alternative venue and have a list of contact numbers ready.
