Recently I was privileged to officiate at the wedding of Carol & Mitch at Sandon Bluff. The weather cleared to a beautiful afternoon with perfect blue sky, a breeze and plenty of sunshine. The view was spectacular, a perfect setting for the casual wedding Carol & Mitch had hoped for. Mitch had proposed to Carol in this location and they wanted to hold the wedding ceremony there as Sandon holds a special place in their hearts. Mitch was attended by four groomsmen all in matching Havianas. Carol looked stunning in her wedding gown and veil as did her four beautiful bridesmaids, one had travelled from Japan to be with Carol on her special day. The four young ring bearers looked so cute in their little cream suits, they were admired by all present. This was an amazing wedding, one I will never forget and I thank the happy couple for choosing me as their Marriage Celebrant.
Byron Bay Headland Reserve is the most easterly part of mainland Australia, it is here the the morning sunlight first falls on the Australian continent. I performed a wedding ceremony here at sunrise for Liz & Ron. It was an inspiring ceremony at an iconic location. Congratulations Liz & Ron, thank you for the opportunity to be your wedding celebrant.
The 10th Annual Coffs Coast Advocate Brides & Grooms Wedding Expo was held at Bonville Golf resort on Sunday 2nd June. This annual event is one of the biggest expos in this area & well worth the trip. I have attended the last few years & I exhibited for the first time this year. It was a sucesssful day even if the weather was a little unkind, but the rain did stop for the fashion parade. Good numbers attended & I received a number of enquiries. Held at Bonville Golf Resort it was spread over several areas, casual marquees, formal inside areas & grassed areas for the larger exhibitors. Bridal fashion & entertainment were presented on a lagre outdoor stage with plenty of seating. Hire cars were parked on a large grass area & the clubs venues are dressed as for weddings. Complimentary drink on arrival.Pictures of 2011 Coffs Harbour wedding expo can be seen here.
Held on August 18th at South Grafton Ex-Servicemen's Club, the 2013 Grafton Wedding Expo attracted over 40 exhibitors & several hundred visitors. The expo was sponsored by The Daily Examiner & South Grafton Ex-Servicemen's Club. The event was generously supported by donations from Solitary Island Marine Park Resort, Grafton2Yamba houseboat hire & More4Men.
Sparkling wine was served on arrival & canapes prepared by the clubs chefs were offered for tasting, A fashion parade presented formal wear from More4Men, Lasting Impressions & GoGirlz. Stretch Hummer Hire showcased their impressive vehicle at the club entrance & Grafton Hire displayed marquees & other items for hire. Inside the exhibitors displyed over two levels, the upper deck level backdropped by the magnificent Clarence River & Susan Island.
I presented a display in the lower area to promote my wedding celebrant business, the dislay featured examples of the albums & signing tables which I provide for all of ceremonies I perform. It ws woderful to meet up with some previous brides & to talk to some prospective brides. I did take some bookings on the day & my web calendars have been updated. There are not many dates left for 2014 & 2015 is filling fast. You can conffirm ny availability with the calendars in this site.
